Kids Karate Classes in English & Japanese

キッズ空手クラスのミッションは、伝統的な空手の技と規律を学びながら、自信とコミュニケーション、特に聞く力と理解力を、実践的かつ楽しみながら向上させることです。

The Kids’ Karate class mission is to improve confidence and communication,  particularly listening and understanding skills, but in a practical and fun way while learning traditional karate skills and discipline.

私たちの道場では、身体技能と自己鍛錬を教え、コミュニケーション、自信、チームビルディング能力を鍛えます。子供たちは多言語の環境に身を置きます。子どもたちは積極的に学ぶので、情報の保持率が向上することが分かっています。

We teach physical skills and self discipline, work on communication, confidence and team building abilities. We immerse the kids in a multi-lingual environment. They learn actively, which is shown to improve how much information is retained.

地元の子どもたちの多くは、単語や文章は理解できても、英語で話したり、コミュニケーションをとることが恥ずかしい、自信がない、と悩んでいます。私たちは、子どもたちが自信を持って英語を話し、実践できる環境を提供し、子どもたちに合ったペースで学び、成長できるようにします。

Many kids on the island are embarrassed or suffer a lack the confidence to speak or communicate In English, even when they have a good understanding of the words and sentences. We provide an environment where the kids will feel confident to speak and practice English and learn and grow at a pace that suits them.

Classes

月・水・金（16:45開講）、土（16:00開講）に開講しています。空手の稽古以外の時間は、道場の環境の中で自習をすることができます。読書や宿題をしたり、指導員や友達と話したりすることもできます。
土曜日の午後4時からのクラスは、保護者の方も一緒に参加できるようにします。追加料金は必要ありません。空手は楽しく、フィットネスにも良いので、ぜひお子さんと一緒に畳の上で充実した時間を過ごしてください。空手道衣は必要ありませんが、お持ちの方はご着用ください。空手道衣の貸し出しも可能です。

Classes are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (16:45 start), and Saturday (16:00 start). When not karate training, our students are encouraged to pursue self study in the dojo environment. They may read, do homework, or talk with the instructors and their friends.
Our Saturday 4pm class is open to parents to join in and train alongside their children. There is no extra fee required for this. Karate is fun and good for fitness so please join your kids on the tatami and enjoy some quality time together. A karate dogi is not necessary but please wear one if you own it. We may also be able to lend you a karate dogi for the class.

Uniform

キッズクラスでは、入会後、定期的に道着を着用することを推奨しています。空手道衣と安里道場Tシャツです。

空手道衣、安里道場Tシャツ、ワッペンなどのユニフォームは、すべて道場で販売しています。道衣は5000円、Tシャツは2200円です。

We encourage our Kids Class members to wear the dojo uniform once they have enrolled for classes regularly. This is the karate dogi and our Asato Dojo T-Shirt.

Uniform items including karate dogi, Asato Dojo t-shirts and patches are all available for purchase at the dojo. Dogi 5000 yen, t-shirts 2200 yen.

Cost

• 2000 yen per class　1クラス2000円
• 7500 yen per month (as many classes as wanted)  月額7500円（何回でも受講可）

授業見学や2週間の体験入学にぜひお越しください。授業中の道場見学も大歓迎です。

All kids and parents are always very welcome to come and see the Dojo and observe a lesson. You can start with a 2 week trial program for just 4000 yen which includes a free karate dogi. We encourage parents to join in too if they wish.

道場の指導員は、多くの海外の空手道場主や、世界中の様々な文化圏の人々と強いコネクションを持っています。私たちの目標は、訪れる海外の友人たちが子供たちと出会い、話し、空手の稽古をする機会を最大限に増やすことである。このような異文化との出会いを通じて、若い人たちが広い心で人を受け入れ、外国語を学ぶことがいかに有意義なことであるかを知ってもらいたいと考えています。

The Dojo instructors have strong connections with many karate dojo owners and other people from many different cultures around the world. Our goals are to maximise opportunities for our visiting international friends to meet, talk and train karate with the kids. These opportunities to meet new people from different  countries and cultures help young people to grow up to be open minded and accepting of people that they meet and to see just how rewarding and beneficial it is to learn another language.
